My Redeemer Lives!

Wow! I simply love this song. This is the reason why we celebrate this season, Christmas. I do hope you love it too!

Nicole C. Mullen nicely said everything the reason why we should celebrate life and to have a hope.

2008 will be a history soon and whatever we have not accomplished nor achieved should be forgotten because we have a great God who gives us second chance. We are all works in progress! He is the reason we live! HE has a plan for us, a plan to give us a hope and a future!

Importance of Vision

"Where there is no revelation, people cast off restrain"
NIV Proverbs 29:18

"'When there is no vision, people parish"
NKJV Proverbs 29:18

How true is this verse...or more so, it's an understatement!

All bible verses are true and alive!

But, I was struck with this verse today as I read an articles and blogs of my student.

Imagine, what purpose do I have if I don't have a vision in my life? What am I living for then? I am lost!

With vision, it will determine how far we will go!

It will determine how high we will soar. I remember a student once told me about 'Eagle'. We were discussing the bible principles and why bible says 'soar like an eagle'. He says, eagle test his power by flying against the wind and towards the sun! Wow! Vision!

Even in life, vision is very important in everything we do. I can't imagine, if I lose my vision of education as a lecturer. What will I tell the students why he or she needs to study? If I can't cast a vision in the students' life as an educator, will I be able to help to shape the students' mind and life of being a person who can 'move and shake' the world?

If Dr Mahathir has no vision, we will not have our KLCC, KLIA, F1 circuit nor even the Putrajaya or even our National car, Proton!

If PM Abdullah don't have vision, he won't push the agriculture sector as one of the main source of economy growth to counter the inflation nor carry of the Vision 2020!

Ah! how important for us to have a vision so that we can be the shaker and mover of the world! More so, if you are a leader! If not, your sheeps will be lost!

I like what one of my student's motto

Dare to Believe the Unbelievable, Dreams the Impossible, Never Take 'No' to an Answer and Be Positive!

and I have since added to that for him,

Don't just believe in your dreams, but be a person who pursue your dream, move your dream to reality!

Be a mover and shaker of the world!

So, I still have lots to acccomplished in my bucket's list!

CZone Camp

For those who attended the previous CZone Camp in Port Dickson, you all must be looking forward to another camp! Indeed the last camp, theme “bumble bee” was a great camp. We have a great pastor preaching great sermons and challenging every one to serve and let God take control, to having the camp committee presenting their very own cheers by singing the Ghosbuster theme songs! We have four teams with their very own creative cheers to include the word “BEE” in it!

Good news for all of you if you miss those times and for those who miss the camp now is the chance for you to join us!

This year, the CZone camp is coming up from 4-6th April. We will be having it in Eco Dusun, Janda Baik, Pahang.
Eco Dusun Resort is a resort theme style based on eco-tourism. Thus, all their chalet and huts are name after various villages, birds, animals and flowers found in the tropical forests. Located in the thickness of green forest and just 1 hour drive from KL, this site is a great place for camp. Situated on 27 hectares of land, this campsite provides various facilities for campers.

Some of the facilities found on this place are the chalet, ‘A’ shape hut, dorms, tent sites, basketball court, seminar rooms, prayer rooms, swimming pool, shops and canteen.

If you think that this place is a boring place, you have to think again. This campsite provides you with such a varieties of activities for you to participate; you will be lost with decision, which to do first. They have hanging bridge, commandos crawl (for those who are scout, you miss those time, don’t you), monkey crawl, flying fox, tarzan swing, wall climbing, rock climbing, spider webs and much much more….You can even participate in water activities or go for jungle walk and hiking!

Alright, much is said about this campsite, now it’s your time to act!

This year, we have Pastor Nancy Ong from the Metro Tabernacle to speak at the camp. The theme of the camp… STRENGTH! I am sure all of us can benefit from the theme of the camp and even from the pastor. Ps Nancy herself is a campus pastor. She believes strongly in the campus ministry and is a firm believer that the young generation could shape the world! She is the wife to the senior pastor of Metro Tabernacle, who is also the Deputy General Superintendent of Malaysia AOG.

So, why wait. Don’t procrastinate and sign up now!

Say a little prayer, would you?

I received a wonderful email today and it cheers me up! One things I realise being a person, as I am, do expect somethings, that God will do for you today. And He always have something in store for everybody. A little suprise to cheer us up! And its not just someday, but if you see carefully enough, or maybe listen carefully enough, it will be everyday.

Some of the surprises will come in BIG package, and some comes in little wonderfull package. But its always nice.

However, one of the things I will have to consistantly remind myself to do is to say 'thank you'. I mean, after all, what can we do in return for God's favour. As much as I do, I can't return the favour of Him dying on the cross for me. And I will have to consistantly telling myself, spend a little time with Him.

So, today, I open an e-mail from one of my wonderful friend from Kuching, Sarawak, and I have this little reminder about who am I. Pray in every circumstances. The shameful things is that I have to be reminded by a pre-believer friend. Anyway, I am reminded to say a little prayer for him too.

Its a little reminder to pray and in every circumstances thank God and praise Him! For we know, everything works out for good to those who love Him. and there is always light at the end. Sunrise will come!

Pray for our pre-believer friends and spend a little time with Him!

So, pass this on. And now I tag

Ranting.

I am in my usual reflective mood today. The rain in the morning, made me feel lazy, or could I say romantic. I had my Norah Jones on, and when it was raining heavily outside, my cd is playing Sunshine Sunshine. What an ....?

Sitting here, I am listening to Amazing Grace sang by Tommy Emmanuel. Life is all about His Amazing Grace. How much we have done and going to do will not repay Him what He has sacrifice for us. One preacher said, if He did not bless me now, I will still have to thank Him because of this life that I received. Fuyoh!

I wonder, will I be able to do that? Not that I don't have faith. Common... just be real. How many of us can be thankful with what we already had and not chasing for more. So, if one day, you find that your life is going downwards, will you be happy and thank God or will you be sad? will you be angry? angry at God? will our life be sour?

But, I know I found this answer, In every circumstances, thank Him! Why? because God is Love. That's why. He promised that He will not leave you nor forsake you. He said, He had plan for me, plan for a future and hope.

So, next question is, how can I repay him?

Well, I guess the answer is found in the ten commandment He gave us. Then, came Jesus when He gave us this... love your neighbour and Go... and make disciples of all nations...!!!

So, what else should I do to repay Him? Why should you and I look far and wide for the answer when its so simple.

He who win souls is wise. Proverbs 11:30

Check out the Amazing Grace here.

Evolution Vs Creation

I was asked by my supervisor to teach a class. Title: Human evolution. I get students from the Faculty of Allied Sciences and me myself from Faculty of Science and Technology... who are these students ???

err....How am I suppose to teach this class when I, Me, myself don't believe in evolution. Yes, I am a geneticist, earning my PhD with my hard work and sweat, BUT, NO I don't believe in evolution. Sometimes I find myself in a hard situation when people ask me about my faith and science. I believe in creation by the God Almighty.

Common...let me be frank. You want to believe you come from ancestor who is an ape or believe that God so love us that HE created us in His own image. I want to believe the latter.

Maybe new evolution will take over now...

too much of food. from the previous trip back to Pg

or maybe cause by PC evolution to make us smaller and making Bill Gates pocket larger

Incidentally, Bill Gates is no longer the richest man in the world now. Carlos Slim from Mexico had taken over. He is not that Slim isn't he?

Well, let see what will happen this coming Thursday when I turn the lesson into Human Migration.
